MATHAPALOOZA! 2020
The 2020 Mathapalooza! would have taken place at Atlanta's MLK Recreation Center from 1-5 PM on March 15th! but it ws a casualty of the pandemic.
Mathapalooza! is an afternoon of fun for all ages: bringing mathematics and art together. During the entire afternoon, we have activity tables with interactive puzzles and games and entertaining ways to learn about mathematics in your life. There is a special area for younger kids. The event kicks off with a phenomenal magic show and is followed by performances of mathematical music, dance, and theater. We even have a curated art gallery with works from notable artists from around the world.
Last year, over 1000 people joined us for Mathapalooza! on March 9 at Decatur's Ebster Recreation Center in Decatur.
MATHAPALOOZA after dark!
The first ever Mathapalooza After Dark was to have taken place on March 16 from 7-9 PM at the Highland Ballroom. Sign up here.
Just what do mathematicians do after dark, when they have said QED to their workday? Do they sing and dance off to infinity? Do they take their singularities and push their boundaries? Yes - Innumerable such transformations happen! And now, for the first time ever, the public has the chance to see mathematicians along with some of Atlanta's most creative artists performing some real numbers on the stage of the Highland Ballroom in this variety show where you will see mathematical comedy, poetry, music, fashion and more!
